What motivated you to be a Freelance Copywriter?
Well, I have always had very good english skills and so freelance copywriting seemed like a logical progression; I write all the time, and when I'm not writing i'm reading, which in turn benifits my writing enormously. When I also acquired the marketing, advertising and editing skills from working at the Oxford Univesity Press, I knew automatically that my chosen career would be one in copywriting.
What is your fee per copywriting project?
It depends entirely on the type of the project. Naturally, I charge for how long I spend on a project. But, I also take into account the brevity and complexity when making a quote. What you can be sure of, however, is that the quote will be competitive but will reflect the quality of work I produce. My work is considerably different to bidding for work.
What has been your favourite copywriting project to date?
My favourite project to date would have to be a copyediting of a novella. It was on the one hand a new experience, working with fiction, but on the otehr hand, breathtakingly interesting. Immersing yourself in a story of that depth is only ever going to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end! |
